Comment: I downloaded Passion Pit a couple of weeks ago for Greg. I think this might have been suggested by Alex? to Sara or something. My comment at the time was that I wanted to throw it in Logic Pro and bring it down an octave and I think I would love it. I am impressed by how much I remember from that initial listen when I started it this morning. The song structures are well thought out and catchy as hell. The keyboards are all over the place. I wish there was more guitar but thats just me. My only complaints really are the piercingly high vocals and repetitiveness that seems to stem from it. I had Replayability at a 9 when I started this album but as I go through this, the vocals start to bleed together and I lose the song breaks so I am knocking that down a couple for good measure. Overall though, this is still a really good album.
Best Songs: “Make Light” & “Swimming in the Flood”

Comment: My tolerance for electro pop rock has definitely grown over the last few months, because there is no way I would have given this record a full listen earlier this year. The vocals are a bit too piercing over the whole of the record, but luckily he takes a break every now and again. This is definitely something I could listen to during work to lighten the mood, but I don’t see myself listening to in the car or at home very much.
Best Songs: “Folds in Your Hands” & “Sleepyhead”

Comment: Love these guys. Some of the guys got together and formed a band called Discovery (which if you can beleive or not might be even more electronic), which is also worth listening to. Anyways, I like watching them live on youtube, their shows look fun. More importantly, the album is good, I’d replay it to get into an upbeat mood. Gots to love fun music.
