Comment: This album didn’t really do much.  She’s very artistic and as “pretty” as the songs sound, they also make me want to slit my wrists….So has she matured from Portishead….Hells Yes.  Would I ever listen to this again…Hells No.
Best Song: “Tom the Model” & “Funny Time of Year”

Comment: I really SHOULD like this album. I have been listening to a lot of Joshua James, Jim Morrison, etc. these days. I think maybe I expected more after being a huge Portishead fan. I loved her haunting voice with beats behind it, but am not thrilled with it in the singer/songwriter-folksy type setting. The guitar playing isn’t wowing me. The song structure is okay. This format is tired, unless a STRONG instrument or voice carries it to a new level and this album misses the mark. I’m going to go take a nap.
Best Song: “Funny Time of Year”

Comment: I actually listen to this frequently. Its haunting, serene, and very chill. I like the fact that it’s not beat heavy like Portishead. I find it to be a great jazzy/folky album.
Best Song: Tom The Model, Romance
